So, custom exhausts & baffles.
Do you leave them on the bike or remove them thus making your road legal exhaust sound nice when you're riding around on your large private road? ...if you ever did accidently ride to the garage to buy some fags with the baffles out, did the rozzers ever pull you over? Just a thought - got an exhaust on order from t'inter-Bay. Dirk |

Never had a can that had a baffle. They are ok, if you have an early start and dont want to wind up the neighbours, but if that doesnt bother you, then leave them out

My Blueflame came with pipe you have to insert into the top exit and a cap to plug the bottom exit.
The insert and cap are still as new in a box in the back of my shed unused. It's up to you, but I've never been pulled about it. |

I'm a new rider but I've been paying alot of attention to the subject of exhausts.
I bought my SV inoccent of the legalities of exhausts (British regs gone mad?!) until other bikers would pull up next to me the lights and ask if it was legal. ![]() Luckily the SV650.org crew at Soho Square filled me in on the finer points of exhaust legalities (still don't understand - basically not legal but not illegal either?!) just before some French cyclist ran a red light, resulting in my beloved lying on her side in the road. ![]() Got even more worried when the insurance wanted to inspect her with her totaly not legal can before they'd approve the repairs... er... oops... ![]() Anyway, all good. Repairs approved, just waiting to get her back with new Akrapovic 'Road Legal' can with removable baffles fitted for free by the insurance co. Thanks guys!! I'll vote for baffles out any time.
