I'm afraid that some aspects of that bike seem to me to have failed in design for function.

To me, it looks like it was built in a garage, by someone roughly as qualified to build a bike as I am Some of it's very nice, but the lines of the exhaust are just wrong, frankly. It has no flow at all. And of coruse, it's got a comet engine in it- no supercharger as promised either, and the claimed power figures are down on the SV's real world crank figures (torque is up, though). Weight is nothing to write home about either.

I do like the stuff about the VR1000- "Best handling GP bike of its era"- well, its era was 10 years ago They've wisely removed most of the flagwaving nonsense about "an all-american superbike", considering it's powerd by a korean copy of a japanese engine, with european suspension, the visual designer was english and trained in france...

THAT hasn't stopped Ducati selling a fair amount of bikes has it ? :P

Personally I think if you rip the plastics off & stick on a pair of Renthals you might have a reasonable Streetfighter

it looks much better with the factory fitted options of Ohlins forks, Brembo radial callipers and lightweight wheels

I imagine that'd get some envious looks on a minitwins grid
