Default I could cry

It never rains but pours...

Picked up a screw in the back tyre of my sv, BRAND SPANKING NEW TYRE!!!!

Luckily its in the middle so it can be fixed, still meant that i couldnt go to the local bike meet on her.

I know the feeling After fitting a new tyre last year I did about 200 miles and picked up a nail but it was to close to the edge so I had to get a new tyre

my cousin did the same thing on his old bandit, 400 miles into his new bike and new tyre and he got a scrap tyre

i did the same thing 20 miles after picking up my new bike too.

sux dont it. esp when the dealer wanted to charge me 60 quid and a three week wait for a repair.

You did know that new tyres are magnets for punctures

thats an ingenius idea ape.

why not make it compulsury that all wheels are made from a positive magnetic material, and all bolts, screws and anything else that is sharp is made from positive magnetic materials too, causing them to repell each other.


if only grinch was president.

The opposite happened to me ! A day before I took delivery of my SV, and after we had agreed on the price, the previous owner picked up a screw and had to replace the tyre for me

Get Avon tyres.

If you get a puncture in the first 1mm of wear, they'll swap it free.

I had Azaro something or others on my first SV, and they were pretty good. Ok, I replaced them with 020's but that was mostly cos I felt like trying something different

Yeah the tyre before last on my sv got 3 punctures within 2000 miles, one after 60 miles....

had to replace on the 3rd one... damn nails
