Default Thieving Scum - Attempted

*Sigh* Woke up just now to a almighty bang and an alarm going off outside my window.

MY ALARM>

Up like a bolt just in time to hear a door thud and a car screech off and see my bike on its side in the road blaring its little heart out.

Right sides totally smashed up (Indicator, Bent Pedals, bent and scratched bar end), had a scare (may be just me) where when I wheeled it down the alley but the front brakes didnt respond when I tried to stop the bike and had to really yank them to get them to work and nearly dropped it again.

Annoyed because I KNOW who it is (albeit I don't know who THEY are if that makes sense)
About a week ago a couple of young guys were giving the bike a real good once over, my aunt spotted them and I watched them from my bedroom window, they went off then an hour later came back with a third mate in a car and gave it another real going over.
At this point I decided to move the bike down our alley and chain it up out of sight and thought no more of it.

I'll bet it's the same *******s and probably even the same car.

Called the police but sadly I didn't see anyone or even the type or colour of the car, just the direction it headed in and the remains of my bike.

Can't really afford this but hey...going to have to get it repaired AND serviced I think because I have no idea what they've done with the ignition/wiring/breaks.
Just getting it towed to the garage will cost =/

As soon as I CAN afford it I'm investing in some cameras and a ground anchor *sigh*

****!

Been there myself, but they ran for it before they got the old cover off. Since than I have really revamped the security round the park (Its parked behind the house).

SOunds like your taking the right steps, camera's are fairly cheap, hell even a fake one will make them think!

Cheers

Rich

Gutted for you What is probably just as annoying is that you feel so helpless when something like this happens

Got a pc? Got a webcam? Set it up on motion detect. At least that time if they come back you get pictures.

Sorry to hear that. Alarm earned its keep so.
On the damage front, have you fired it up yet? Make sure that you definetly can't ride it before you arrange to get it towed anywhere. If you've a few tools (big allen key and a vice mainly) then you could source the pedal bits you need yourself and fix them, then ride it to garage for service (thats what I did recently, got my bits from http://www.suzuki-spares.co.uk/). But then again it front brake is gone might be worse things to fix...
