Default Double Bubble quick question...

... OK, so I'm looking at a DB mainly for the MPG benefits. I've seen Fabbri DB's advertised at £44+P&P on one site, and I'm looking at the lightly smoked version for my blue K6.

My problem: the website only lists 03-05 Fabbri screens Does anyone know if the front fairing has changed from K5 to K6 pointies?

I've emailed the shop behind the website, and their reply was basically "We dont know." They also pointed out the Zero Gravity SV650 K6 (listed as K3-K6 interestingly) but that's £60+P&P.

Does anyone know how the two screens compare from a comfort/MPG/eye-sore point of view?

Also, any other screens that anyone can throw into the picture, I'm open to new ideas as I've only recently started looking around really.

As always, help appreciated before it's even given Cheers o' wise members of the .org

It oughta fit. I dont believe that there were any changes bodywork wise between the K5 and K6 SV's

Tell you what, you can be the org guinea pig and then tell the rest of us if it does or doesnt fit.

Liz has a fabri on her K5, I think it looks great and its very effective, but she isnt so keen on it as she thinks it makes the front of the bike look to tall.

I've got a powerbronze on my curvey which works well and that I'm very pleased with.

Can't speak for the other types of screens though.

Cheers fizzwheel.

Another quick question. A lot of websites only list the SV1000. Does anyone know of any changes here that would mean a screen for a 1000cc SV wouldn't work?

I'm also happy to be a pig, err, guinea pig!

Not sure about the screen on the 1000 I doubt whether it would fit though. I might be wrong. Best to do some more research if I was you.

Cheers again fizzwheel.

I'll do some more research tomorrow when the shops are open. Was just looking through some websites tonight & thought of some questions.

TYVM for the pointers. I was kind of assuming that the K3+ wouldn't differ much, but want to double check. I guess this will be another case of asking the stealer for information then shopping elsewhere At the moment I'm leaning towards the Fabbri screen, but I'll prolly hold off a few weeks to do some decent digging around the t'inter-web and local biker's minds (scary places )

When I do decide on anything & finally get it fitted, I'll be a true pig and post pictures. Damn, I mean guinea pig, honest!
