Got the fright of my life yesterday. Coming home after a run. Rolling up the road to my house 25ish mph. Took my hands of the handelbars for a gentle stretch of the arms. Went to grab bars again and just as I pulled back on the throttle got a VERY violent tankslapper.
TBH I've no idea what happened it was so quick but the bike managed to right itself on its own. Any ideas what on earth I did? |

How hard did you throttle it? If it went from engine braking to fairly on the power that's lots of weight on the front to no weight on the front- when the front's unweighted it doesn't take much to upset it... And if you had your weight back and hands off it'd be a bit unsettled already. Might have just been that...

Sounds plausible. My throttle is kinda snatchy at low speeds 2nd gear so maybe it snatched. Not sure it was so quick.
