Hey SV650.org!

Just thought I'd say 'hi'. This is my first post, just registered. I hop on my first SV650 on 21st Sept. That is providing I pass my test on that very same day of course!

Bike history? Short, small and questionable. First bike just over a year ago - Gilera DNA125. Bad credibility, but good fun! Gave me my first taste of peg-down action and... infected me with the bike bug...!
Changed that thing quite soon when I realised the benefits of a gearbox! I'm now drawing my learning to a close on a Suzuki VanVan 125. A glorious machine! Funky as you like, ultra-comfy, dead slow! This really is a cracking bike, a really good ride. It attacts an amazing amount of attention, but, it must make way for something that can see the other side of 60mph... Cue my new (used!) SV650.

Looking forward to Sept 21st now. Wish me luck for my test!

Cheers...

Hello

I believe it is customary for someone to say "welcome to the madhouse" at this point.

Good luck with your test

Hello also.
Also customary to ask what age SV it is and whether you are going to post pics. Enjoy!

tricky - RE learning. Yup! I hear that. Still, it will be nice to get the 'L's off!

Kylie - It's 2003. The previous owner did a few bits - Scottoiler, Scorpion exhaust, hugger. Seems well looked after though, low mileage but not too low! I sure will post some piccies!

Cheers for the warm welcome peeps!

Not with me - the DNAs are good fun. Shame they killed off the 180cc 2-smoke
