Default Moto GP 2006-Champion?

Hopefully the mods will allow this extra little thread although obviously linked to racing matters?

So come on then boys and girls, not sure this is the most hotly contested title in recent years especially after reviewing some of those ace battles between Sir Sete( ) and Valerie Rossi from 2004 and 2005.

But this one has had plenty of twists and turns, surprise performances, crucial crashes and DNF's.

This is not about who is the best rider out there, it is simply a matter of with 3 races to go, a multiple champion presently working like hell,(and doing an admirable job of it) chasing down almosyt unhindered in recent weeks, the championship leader who still has an advantage of 21 points. Therefore 75 points max to play for.

Who is your champ going to be?

I hope it will go down to the last round, last corner even, with Rossi pipping Hayden to the post.

So I voted Rossi

Agreed.

I think Capirossi, Melandri and Pedrosa are going to muck things up for Hayden, he needs to get up there and start fighting for it if he wants it.

Rossi should be able to beat Hayden in every round - but I don't think the gaps too big to bridge unless Hayden has a DNF - I voted Hayden. Pedrosa is one for next year I think.

Fizz...I like your thinking, the nice American finds himself suddenly surrounded by 3 rather aggressive Italians!

I want it to be Rossi... but I reckon it'll be Hayden this time.
Unless he falls off/asleep/ill in the next 3 races.
Rossi/Yamaha will just have to try harder next year.
