Exhausts

Hey All,

I am looking at getting a new can on my sv650s and was wondering:

What kinda exhaust do folk use on there sv?

Any particular make to go for or stay away from?

Will i need to put the bike on a rolling road to match the can with the engine?

well to be honist i think you will find that it comes down to personal preferance, E.g what sort of sound you want, i personally have a scorpian can on mine, i love it is sounds f**king great in my opinion but at the same time there is plenty of people who dissagree with me on that and think there blueflame or what ever it might be sounds much better.
if you want it to be as loud as possable i believe that "art" are up there to be the loudest, and they are pritty cheap as well, but i have a feeling they went bankrupt so you will need to find a second hand one.
but the most inportant thing you have to bare in mind is that any after market can sounds 100000x better than the OEM can.
as for putting it on a dyno, it is not nessasery, i havn't....yet!!! it will make you eak the most power boost out of the can but it is not worth the money IMO for 1 or 2 more BHP,
Although i do have a feeling that if you have a pointy because of the fuel injection that putting some cans on makes them run lean easier than a carb fed curvey, but i could stand to be corrected on that!!
