If you want to try green laning then the TRF is a good place to start

http://www.trf.org.uk/

Green laning in this country is on its knees with the recent NERC bill - the TRF needs all the support it can get......

absolute top fun, just make sure your on legal lanes, as we are taking some stick at the moment.
TRF worth joining, but best sticking to byways.
don`t buy to big a cc bike, 200-400 good, get the right tyres for your local terrain, wear mx or similar boots, and decent protection. drink lots of fluids, don`t ride on your own.
Have Fun. (TBM magazine is a good sorce of info, from W H smiths)
