Its probably easier to stay under the duvet and just drag whatever you need closer to you.

Or, didn't Wallace (of ...and Grommit fame) invent a machine to get him out of bed and dressed? YOu could always build one of those.

This is a common problem amongst students, I am not immune to it. I have conducted a highly scientific study of the mechanics of duvet covers, and can conclude from the data gathered that duvets are hard to remove due to their excellent heat capacity, ensuring warmth and comfort on a cold morning and their smell (if fresh duvet covers are on) causing us to not want to stray into the polluted, smog-filled outside world (thus increasing your life span...its an evolutionary thing, a survival instinct).

The study also concluded that people who cant get out of bed without extra, external, woman-originated or parent-originated force are lazy bums

Roll of the bed whilst still in the duvet.

Then you can move around the house like a giant slug.

You can even go to the corner shop like this as long as you dont have to cross any major roads.
