Default Hello - I'm new.

Hello Everybody,

I'm New (kind of.) I've been reading your excellent forum for a while now and though it was only proper to register and say hello.

I bought my very first bike (a 2000 naked sv650) a few weeks ago, and passed my test on it a couple of weeks later. I've loved every minute I've spent on it ever since. I mainly use it for getting to work a 250 mile round trip to gatwick once a week, and a 160 mile round trip to St Paul's once a week.

I was amazed first time i rode it into London. Some bikers seem to have a death wish - i saw loads of people (some of them on sv's!) filtering between slow traffic with less than an inch to spare at like 30mph. I think for now I'm happy yo take my time and get their alive. :I'm:

Anyway, that's it for now - see u guys around the forum...

Hi there good choice of bike - what colour is it (girly question )

You'll find in time youll start filtering more in heavy traffic as you get more confident but - agreed some do squeeze through very small gaps! Just stick with what you are comfortable with

Well done on the test and enjoy your bike

Which thread do I reply to? Only jesting fella. Welcome to the forum.

At this stage, what seems idiotic to you, will probably seem like second nature a few thousand miles down the line!

Nice to see another high milage SV rider about the forum! Don't mind the weekend warriors/ fair weather riders, they're alright too, I suppose

Hey, Hi. I'm pretty new too, although I have already survived my first rideout with these loonies.

London traffic will become second nature to you I'm sure. Having said that, I've been doing it for 7 years and I still see stuff every day that scares me (mostly cage-drivers or scooterists though).
