Default A "Big Up" for Whites Honda in Darlington

What service these guys gave......

As most of read, I had a few tyre problems while on the N/S ride out. Stuck in Middleton in Teesdale and needing a new tyre it was suggested that I gave them a call.

Got a mate back in London to find me the number on the Internet, and then gave them a call. They didn't have a new tyre but could do me a "part worn" to get me home.. Brilliant.

We found our way there (couple of nice roads) and they immediately took the bike in the workshop and offered me a choice of two tyres.

One was "used" the other, nearly new but had been repaired with a "mushroom" plug from the inside. I opted for the second one. They fitted it, balanced it and lubed the chain while putting it all back together.

£30 !!

The guy in charge was a really nice bloke too.

We had to return when I nothed that Rich's dipped headlight wasn't working. They took the old one out and replaced it, £4...

So, if you're ever in there, tell them that the 2 'Blade riders from London think they are top dog !!

And if you're thinking of a Honda for your next bike, check them out, they had some deals going, and that new '07 600RR looks awesome..

Yeah big thanks to the boys at Whites but the only problem is they fitted a standard replacement bulb . But i notice , those smart chaps at Philips have brought out a new bulb http://www.autolamps-online.com/halo...remecentre.htm which is a whole 80% brighter , now that is a bit more like it . So Stu next time wear your dark visor .

Great weekend and good to meet everyone , had a ball and will be organising another trip up later on in the summer , will let you guys know more when we get some dates confirmed . Must say the roads were heaven to ride , glad to see the Roman road building team never went near the Lakes . We even managed to bring some decent weather up with us from down south , apart from one downpour of bibilcal proportions on Saturday it stayed pretty dry . Look foward to a return trip later on in the summer

Strange that - I've been thinking along these same lines.
July, I'm off to the Nurburgring and will be jsut too busy with work.
August, probably the same with work and it'll be crawling with tourists (school holidays n all).

So considering the effects of global warming, season shifing etc - September is looking good perhaps?

Not quite true!
Hardnot & Rynose passes are roman roads, but at least even they decided against straightlining up a 1:2
(BluePete posted the photo of the roman fort)
