Default Hello Everyone!

Just thought I'd say hello!

I've just passed my test and ventured into the world of big bikes. Not knowing what to buy I chose due to budget rather than bike. I bought a 1999 SV650S 'curvy' in a kinda turquoise blue colour from ebay, 23k miles, imaculate condition, no scratches and with a black screen. I managed to get it for only £1250 and from what I gather thats quite a good deal!!

After riding it for 2 weeks I can see why you all rate them so much, I love it, with 1 exception, it's standard, so I'm looking to get an undertray, rear hugger and an exhaust system.

Just a couple of quick questions before I babble on and bore you.

How many miles are left in a tank, on average, after the fuel light starts flashing??

Does anyone know the name or code of the colour of my bike??

Thanks and look forward to talking to you all!

Hi there, from the distant land of Greece. Enjoy the bike, looks awesome. I can't help it though and add: Always wear protection (for your biking that is )

Hi bazza. If 've run out of petrol a couple of times in my pointy, but I guess it's similar. I got 33 miles on the reserve light, riding a mixture of roads.
On you're bike does the fuel light flash? if it does I think it comes on solid before you run out.

Think your bike might be a perfect Grand Candy Blue one?

Congrats on stumbling on the best first big bike.

Did you get the little suzuki service book with your bike ? If so in the front shoudl be a pink sticker. The paint code is printed on that.
