Christmas Sale

Hi,

I want to put my SV in the bike trader, however I'm currently at Uni in Nottingham and the bike is at home in London so only I have time to sell the bike is over the Christmas holiday, if I put it in Bike Trader over Christmas is the market for buying bikes likely to be dead? I intend to put a fairly low price tag on it (£2000 for a K4) to make it attractive, however I'm wondering if it would be a better idea to sell it after the holiday period?
Any advice would be much appreciated

are you buying another or giving it up? its cheap to buy now, maybe buy one now and sell your sv in the summer?

yes the bike market is dead or there abouts over Christmas, you do get some activity in the lead up to Christmas as good cash deals are had because people want the money for Christmas itself.

Come the new year it's a bit of a mixed bag, although most people are skint, being a new year people can rationalize finance or expenditure at this point, still I wouldn't expect the market to pick up until the end of March (good deals on last years models) for new stuff, or may time for the secondhand kit.
