you can get a kit off ebay for about 50 quid, converts video to avi in real time, makes big files mind...

What graphics card have you got?

As long as you have a card where you can get the signal in, there is plenty of software out there that will record it for you ... prolly d/l a trial version or freeware with little hassle...

Windows media Encoder is ok, (loads others though) but you do need a vid/sound in. Other than that you could use a DVD recorder.
You could also ask this guy here for a copy, or put you in touch with the guy he's contacted (read the Questions from other members).

Know anyone with a DVD recorder? I got one with a HD and converted all my home videos to DVD's by loading onto HD, editing and burning a DVD. If you're stuck give me a shout via PM. You can send it to me and I'll convert it.

Alternatively I have a mate in Buxton, which ain't far from you. You can drop it with him if it's convenient.

Cheers Keith
