Yup! if only bands would do complete albums live now. (Que for a list of bands that do )

I always thought this was the best Complete Pink Floyd album.

It was awesome. I can imagine a few ppl in the audience shat themselves a few times though, specially the musical break before time when the plane came accross them lol. They are without a doubt one of the best bands of all times (even if Gilmour is a tosser ). It's a shame there aint more concerts of this calibre broadcast on t'telly

Since when?, i like the guy, saw him in concert a few years ago at the royal festival hall. Kate bush came on to do comfortably numb. But agreed, Pink Floyd are one of the best and i wasn't even around when they were, well in the early years anyway. Got into them when i was 18 so well after they had split.

Just a personal opinion is all. Although Gilmour joined the band a bit later than the original members (and i'm not knocking his ability to play the guitar, cos he can pitch the bitch with the best of them) I just don't think he is as good a songwriter as Syd Barrat or Roger Waters. Again, personal opinion. I have been into Floyd since i can remember and have pretty much everything they have ever made (with the exemption of Division Bell) and the sound is unique, i suppose thats why i like them so much.

Did you know that Dark Side Of The Moon was in the top 40 album chart for 14 years running? That's some achievement.

I have a recollection of the same plane being used at Knebworth in, ooh, 1975. They did 'Wish you were here', as I vaguely recall. I was rat-arsed and/or stoned, and slept through a lot of the set. Apart from the Floyd, I'd totally forgotton who else was on the bill - Steve Miller Band and Captain Beefheart, among others, so a Google reveals.

Agreed, his playing of guitar and that slide guitar was amazing. But he's not the best lyrisist of the band and songs weren't the same after Roger left. However i prefer Gilmores voice and i do like gilmores songs. I find Roger Waters too whingy and moaning all the time. But each to there own i guess, it would be a boring world if we all liked the same things.
