Alarm LED stopped working - any ideas?? - SV650.org

I've notived the LED for my Datatool alarm has stopped working, the alarm seems to be working ok other than this...

I've had a quick look at the wiring and it appears that the LED wire is part of the main wiring loom so I don't think it's a loose conection and i didn't think LED could blow like bulbs?

Was riding is wet weather yesterday but i've ridden worse and had no probs, any ideas?

Not anything major to worry about really but i'd prefer it if it was working.

The led contacts can be fragile sometimes. If you remove it, you can test it with a multimeter.

Mine got wet once (when I gently power washed the bike) and didn't work at first. Then when it started to dry out, it started flashing as I was riding along.

A couple of days later, it was back to normal (but mine isn't a Datatool)

I'll check the contacts on the LED at the weekend, if i can dismantle it at all i'll try and give it a clean up and apply some WD40.

on my meta alarm, the remotely mounted LED stopped working. when I dismantled the little box in which it was housed, it was obvious why. The legs of the LED had corrode though. I spent about 10 pence on a new led from my local electronics supplier.

My LED packed up years ago. never fixed it!
