Default How can i remove anodising?

Got a couple of gold anodised bits i don't like on my GSXR forks
Whats the best way of getting them back to ally colour?

lighty grind away with a soft and fine brush/grinder attachment in a drill/dremel then use polishing mops with polishing compound.

Is it the tube tops? Could be quite hard to get a good result with abrasives. Maybe you could swap them with a more tasteful set from a different Showa fork? I think the K6 ones are silver... Though no idea if they fit.
