I'm sure I read somewhere earlier this week that he was prosecuted using his own video as evidence...serves the ****er right!

It's tossers like that that give the rest of us a bad name and get politicians thinking about how to ban bikes altogether.

If he was convicted - I'm delighted for him...the amount of stupid overtakes (and undertakes!) in that clip beggars belief...

Yeah it was in MCN, 2 blokes getting done for the dangerous riding and the criminal damage to the camera, guess that means we won't be able to buy the DVD this summer then.

One of teh guys on mcn ninjas knows the bloke in the vid, hes 21-owns the gixxer, an r1 and the evo..

hmmm, yes they are tossers but the stuff in the car was far worse than the bike imo

OK, I'm going to stick my neck out here...

Until 1m30 into the video, I see nothing out of the ordinary, nothing that hasn't been posted thousands of times on YouTube etc.

Yes, the bike was moving faster than my comfort level (but if I owned an R1, I'm sure I'd be comfortable at those speeds in no time

- off public roads officer). Yes, they were getting FAR too close to on-coming traffic than I'd be comfortable with (both the car and the bike).

Other than that, the only things I can see that were stupid, were the undertaking by the bike when there was space to the right, and overtaking the bike almost into the oncoming car. Personally I wouldn't do the wheelies on public roads intentionally, but I know others on the forum have said they have in the past. There were also stupid moments by the Evo, but again, not many of them.

Taking the above into consideration, I don't consider that too far from my own riding when I'm pushing the SV hard (except the SV won't go as fast as the R1). As I've said on the org before now, I have some very good reasons not to ride like that as a general rule (kids), but sometimes, the gloves come off.

I would also never ride like that just to star in a video, quite the opposite in fact. I don't ride the bike for the glory of showing off to others, I ride for me.

The only things I can really see in that video, that was deserving of a chat with Plod, was the excess speed, and the criminal damage to the speed camera.

Who's first up to berate me?
