So as the title says
I had a flat battery one day on my car after leaving the lights on! Doh!. And it wouldn't start even after after charging, so got the RAC to take me to the garage just up the road aftewr going through every possible fault. However my car was stuck on a steep hill impeding fuel flow as it was low on fuel at the time. So the garage takes the car in and they get it going again by taking the fuse out for the hazard lights!!!!?!?? Yes the HAZARD lights cos its interfering with the ECU on the car so they say....... Moment later after finishing work, I put the fuse back in and the car runs ok!! ![]() Whats the fuse got to do with the ECU!?!?! Any one with experience of Honda Accord? But to top it all off they charged 100 plus vat and broke my interior panels!!!!!! ![]() I thinking of going to complain even when they said "we spent 4 hrs on it sir" To me thats a loads of ********, what your opinion I should do? ![]() |

At a mere £25/hr I wouldn't be so hasty to complain!
![]() Nah, seriously. Even if the hazard lights fuse was causing a problem, it's not going to be behind that panel. And the ECU is probably under the dash at the drivers feet area (can someone else verify please). Tell them you want more answers & less fobbing off and at the very least a new centre console. Sorry. I'm having garage problems myself so you've caught me mid-rant!!!!! ![]() |

to be honest there rate was 50 quid an hour, so they half the price, but it still annoys me to say the least that their job was improfessional.............they did have the manual for this car on pc, so why oh why do i have broken panels?!
The mechanic looked like a numpty as well........ ps the ecu is under the driver's seat area to the fuse box...... |

i just rang Honda and apparently they say its a loads of ******** with regard of the fuse having anything to do with the ECU. So I have been totally ripped off and they have had no regards to looking after the car so i'm going to bill them for it. Been to trading standards and they also said they are liable for damage, and i'm still ranting.
It also means they have breach contract on failing what they should of expected to fix. Everything was working except fuel flow even the pump was working, the spark plugs and compression is fine and also the injectors are ok. So the ECU is not at fault. They treated me as a women who would know feck all, so they thought. I'm so ![]() |

Was it a main Honda Dealership?
If so then really get on to Honda UK and get them to sort it for you with the garage as Kate suggested. Honda themselves are very concerned about customer satisfaction and tend to come down hard on dealerships that let their customer's down. To start with, correction of damage to your car is the garage's responsibility, though they will make you prove it. ![]() Likewise sending you out in a car with no working indicators is just wrong, wrong wrong - and quite probably illegal as in that state it wouldn't pass an MOT. ![]() |

Private garage, but i have sent a letter of complaint with 3 choices, refund me, fix it or Small claims courts.
I have rung my local Honda dealer up, and they have offered to inspect it over for 18 quid.... |
