The boy turns 11 next month. There is already discernible fluff on the upper lip and some underarm follicle activity has been noted.

However, I have been reliably informed today that hair is now sprouting apace from the "ding dong" region (his words not mine

)

This is all happening a bit sooner that I was expecting. What am I supposed to do

soothing words? start feeding him spanners and aftershave?

And FFS don't tell him I told you or I'll be in trouble!

I have no constructive advice. But, you could try telling him it's completely freakish, that'd be good value.

Hmmm, how long was it that the 'Top Speed' thread of Grinch's had lain dormant - 4 years! But then there''s enough on the internet to keep a young teenage boy occupied for a few more years rather then on a bike forum.
