On the way into herne bay, you go under a flyover, for want of a better word, that is full of Emergency telephones, cameras and red flashing lights that read do not enter when lights are flashing....all a bit over the top for un underpass. So whats the big secrect, or why all the phones etc? Anyone know?

It wasn't there when I lived in the area, but the road was a bit of a race track as I recall. perhaps it's just a way of slowing traffic, it worked for me when I last visited!!
I guess the "Emergency telephones" are in case of an emergency and the "red flashing lights that read do not enter when lights are flashing" are to stop you from, err entering, perhaps the cameras are for tourists so you can buy a snap as you exit the other side ![]() But as for... "over the top for an underpass" now that is confusing ![]() ![]() |

Know exactly where you mean, its cause if one of those daft HGV's* make an error they can block both carriageways and at night you just wouldn't know about it till it was too late
![]() *Admittedly it could be anyone but HGVs make a bigger mess |
