Ok I have a new method of capturing onboard video … it is recorded in MP4 format.
Now I just want to be able to use it with windows movie maker to do my editing and output as a .wmv … the files are massive, so any pre decoding/conmverting is very undesirable (we are talking 30min of footage = 1gb file). I have tried a few video editing packages and they either don’t take in the MP4 or are just soooooo slow to use and don’t have very good output options … Windows Movie maker is simple, yet powerful and outputs in a format 90% of ppl can use straight away, has good compression yet retains good quality … so I’d like to suck MP4s straight into it … but it doesn’t like MP4s as standard … The official line on windows MEDIA PLAYER and MP4s is this:- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992 But what I want to know is there a trick to get MP4s directly into Windows Movie Maker??? I also failed to get either of the bits of software mentioned under the MPEG-4 part of that windows description … I was hoping if I installed that, that movie maker would work too … Anyone done this before??? anyone had any luck?!!? ![]() Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 13-03-07 at 09:30 PM. |
