Six Nations Predictions

Should be a good tournament this year as a major build up for the cup later. My calls of the final placings:

Wales
Ireland
France
England
Scotland
Italy

Wales v Ireland should be the match to watch on Sunday. Ireland have been playing superb but this I hope will be the only big upset. England will place middle of the table and will get slated by the British media (once again) to make them try harder in the cup.

Obviously I'd love England to win it but the Welsh are a strong side!!!!

5/1 at William Hill for Wales to win. Ireland are the 13/8 favorites

dont know much about rugby union BUT one of wale top players has been banned for the first 3 games

I think Sunday's game between Wales and Ireland will set the tone. Whoever wins is likely to be favourites for the title. Of course it will be Wales........

Although it'd be good if Italy good climb the table a wee bit. :P

Scotland at the top, i love the optimism at least...

I'll reserve my opinion till after the weekend.

England have a new structure.
France have a new young team, french club teams have been awesom. They can be the best in the world, or awful.
Scotland, getting better, but just never seem to be quite there, big hearts get them through.
Italy, 7 years and still got a way to come, they get better every year, but no expectations.
Wales, again, had superb spots, and awful spots. BIG loss loosing Jones as he's a big part of the team.
Ireland, everyone favourite. A team thats played together time and time again, know each other, the most close knitted put together team at the moment. Its why they are favourites.

I have high expectations of England on saturday. The squad list (esp the backs) is very good, but its all whether the team gel together.

Im not looking for only the win, but the way the team plays together is vital. IMO, sod the 6 nations, work on the team for the World Cup so we don't go from Champions to embarrasing ourselves.

It looks like it could be one of the most nail-biting tournaments. For purely nationalistic reasons I vote Wales. With the exception of the Italians, any of the 5 could steal it. I don't expect there to be a grand slam or a triple crown. I want the Italians to do really well this year, just not against us.

My namesake will do well I'm sure. My kids love it, and shout out "Dads scored again"
