Morning All
Just joined the Forum and wanted to say hi ![]() ![]() ![]() Question is, I really fancy a naked Pointy but.... I've a jolly booked for July, down to Santander on the ferry, get lost in the Pyrenees, then a wander up the West Coast of France to St Malo and home. Do you think a naked would be too breezy for the trip and an 'S' better suited? Or would a bikini fairing suffice? I know it's all down to personal preference but I'd like anyones advice By the way, great Forum. Think I'm gonna enjoy owning again ![]() ![]() |

Although I've never owner a pointy, I'd go for a naked, better day to day, and bung on a small screen for the trip, two advantages, more comfortable riding position for doing big mileage, second you don't get that nasty front fairing, and can remove the screen when you get back.
but that's just me, I'd probably go for the 1000 as well, just for the more relaxed ride. Cheers Mark.

Welcome back!
Thew naked is definitely a more comfortable ride witr higher bars and makes slow speed town travel much easier on the arms/back etc. If you want to do err.. lets say more spirited riding, the S would be better, why not get one of each? ![]() |

Id go with the naked and fit an aftermarket screen like Mark mentioned. Get a decent tank bag to hide behind for the faster bits. Overall comfort for me each time and with avg speeds likely to be close to 40mph I think it would be fine.

or even better buy my raptor. its has a low seat, sit up position, tl1000 engine and is great for throwing round corners.
