Angry My Gixer Has been stolen!

Absolutely gutted. Came out the flat this morning to find the space where my gixer was. Judging by the screws and bolts etc, looks like they took off the front wheel to get around the disc lock.

Reported to the police, reported to the insurance company. Police say if I haven't heard from them then it hasn't been found but I will get a letter confirming that it has been reported, and oh, happy birthday. Insurance company says they can't do anything for 21 days in case its recovered. I liked the 'do you know who is responsible?' question. If I knew that I really wouldn't be on the phone. I would be busy gathering up lots of large men for a little outing.

So gutted.

Really gutted to hear this.

Thieving Ba$tard$!

I really hope that they get whats coming to them.

What insurance do you have? Who are you insured with?

Surely they have an obligation to provide you with alternative transport whilst they sit with their finger up heir ar$es waiting for it to "Turn up".

Makes you wonder which is worse the ba$tards that stole it, or the insurance companies, that rob you blind year after year.

Exclamation Re: My Gixer Has been stolen!

i offered this advice on another stolen bike thread,
maybe it will help.

RE : stolen bike

This would honestly be like losing my fella if you know what i mean, my bike is one thing that is all mine, and to be honest, if i ever broke up with the mrs.. at least i could rely on my bike, to keep me going..

this sucks golf balls man,

Dont give up looking for it, try and find out if anyone is selling one, look in the AD Mags and the back of MCN for your spec machine and call them, you have the engine serial numbers right? have you reported it stolen with the DVLA, if anyone gets tickets from this machine A, they will come to you B, they can give you an idea where the contravention happend. Check about with the local pond life and scum, you must no some one who knows people around and about, if it was an opertunist then it would of been sold cheap, if it was a prof job, then it will be much harder to trace but that doesnt stop you. the police will only do so much, and to be honest they only find stuff that crops up in other Crimes normally unless your luck.. the rest you have to do your self. make the bike HOT so to speak
post up Stolen sighns in news agents and lamp posts just kinda like when you lose a pet , put a nice reward down for £300.00 for info leading to the return of it, it has to be a fair wack NO QUESTIONS ASKED ! ! because it motivates people, and causes people to grass each other up! , if the machine is advertised as stolen people will not buy it, and the theives will not want to keep it..

if this was my bike i would not be at work untill it was found. . . its up to you man but all that is what i would do.

Jon
