We were merley trying to make a point to that person that they were not welcome.

Apologies for the childishness in some respects but iv had a bike nicked and if i met someone like that i would have struggled to contain myself, as i have on this forum.

May i please ask then if posts will be closed we are informed of what steps the forum will be taking to remove or dicipline this person for the actions and offensive remarks? whoever they may be.

Hmmm. Double edged sword of responsibility.

Should anyone be banned, signups are still freely available. IP's can be changed etc. All it takes is a long enough list of proxies.

Surely I'm not the only person that has done this with IRC

I don't see what banning anyone would gain, just try not to rise to it.

All in all, a good choice by Mr Squid IMO.

In fact, considering I've had inferred threats of violence from two members (which has been reported) I think it would be rather prudent to look at that area of your housekeeping and just exactly what sort of 'people' you have on this site.

No forum rules have been broken, IMHO. Just humanity rules. But you'd probably need a dictionary to look up that definition...

doesn't matter what your intention(s) was/were. you just have to be "deemed to be trolling".
