Default Bike safe - thirsk

registered for bike safe last night up at squires, im booked in for april 11th (3 hr classroom skills) and april 15th (assessed ride) on the course thats run up at thirsk

only £50,

i think theres are some places left on this and othere courses this summer, but they fill up quick........

Plod on this side of the Pennines wont do it. They say they are not qualified or insured to give instruction and would leave themselves liable should someone have an off following their advice etc.

TBH I think it is a con that Lancs council run very expensive and unrecognised bike courses and the plod point you to that, should you ask about bikesafe. Far cheaper round here to do a recognised IAM or RoSPA qualification.

I'm booked on a bikesafe course here in N. Wales 21/22 April. Bit pricey at £80, but apparently is a good course.

Be interesting to see if my observation is as good as I think......
