SV650s K6 or should I wait for the K7?

Have just got off the phone to StreetBike in Halesowen after speaking to them about buying a new SV mid May. The salesperson has been in contact with the Suzuki rep and has been told that the K7 is not going to be available until mid June.

Now I am undecided about what to do. Should I go ahead and buy a new K6 in May or wait the extra 4-6 weeks for the K7 to be released? Is there going to be that much of a difference between the two models that will make it worth the wait? I currently have no transport and am wondering if the K7 would be worth the wait.

Is the K7 the same as the K6?

I would go for the K6 if it is just a colour change.

After a huge discussion, I believe it was decided that UK K7 bikes would be the same apart from colour. Buy the one you like the look of, from K4-K7 the colour of the frame and paintwork has changed but I believe that's the only change of any importance.

My thoughts are it might be worth waiting.....

Looking at the Suzuki UK webpage looks like the K7 will be available in 4 colours...

Metallic Blue, Metallic Red, a "true" Silver and best of all, Black.

Black Pointies with Black frames (as this is) seem to hold value better, and its been a couple of years since there was a black SV.

But is it worth waiting a month to get back on the road.... well thats up to you

I agree with Soulkiss, all the K7 colours are so much better the K6's.

The decision is whether you can wait and whether you can get a better deal on the K6 at the moment before the biking season hits it's peak.

see if you can get them to respray the k6 for you!!!

shop around for your sv mate, my cousin got his sv from streetbike halesowen but they wouldnt budge of price and he had to pay full list.
theres some good deals around at the moment, try george white they deliver for free and i think the sv's are 3999.
