Default Uneven wear..

Just noticed my rear tyre have very uneven wear, on one side it's almost illegal.. Is this down to poor alignment or a poorly balanced wheel or both?

When I go to get a new one, will they align the wheel for me?

One more thing, it's on the original Dunlops, is it ok to fit a diff make rear tyre?

Which side - if it is the right hand side then that is fairly normal - bike tyres wear more on the right due to the camber of the road and roundabout abuse

As you look at the bike from the back it's the right hand side - strange thing is that it's worn down only half the way round..

TBH I'd just fit a whole new set of tyres, the original Dunlops are average at best. You'll enjoy the bike more with some different tyres on it.

I'm no expert but your uneven wear problem sounds like an allignment problem possibly. If you ask at the tyre place when you take it in to get a new tyre they'll possibly sort it out for you. Without pictures its hard to tell.

u shouldnt use different tires front and rear. my m8s rear isnt even either. hes got a pointy k6 like mine. his is because the rear shock is to hard 4 his wait and its like ridin a bike with no shock at the rear at all. it bounces all over the place on the road!
