Default Its the oldest line in the book.....

My baffle (really really did) fell out

I was doing my Bikesafe yesterday, put it in just in case they took offence to it, turns out they couldn't give a monkeys, lol.

On the way home it fell out somewhere, had a quick scan and can'ne see it. I just hope it didn't damage anyone / anything, its a fair old chunk of metal there!

110% recommend bikesafe, well worth it, even get danish pastrys and coffee!

you attended a bikesafe "thing", yet your bike fell apart?

Bikesafe Didn't get any Danish pastries though.....

N. Wales Bakesafe were not bothered by my pipes or the smaller number plate either.

Hope you find the baffle, useful to have.

I find that so ironic..... Brunstrum doing his bit to nick every biker he can, yet his force organise Bikesafe training days and don't enforce the policy of their Boss.

Not that I'd want them too, it's just goes to show that the average copper couldn't give a damn about "Brunstrums Law"...

With any luck Brainstorm should be out of a job soon regarding his latest antics in MCN.

What's involved in a Bikesafe course? Also, how much and where did you do it Ian?

Irony not lost on me either, parked in N. Wales HQ car park . Was before the current unpleasantness involving Herr Brunstrum.

Bikesafe is now a seperate entity and is run in partnership with the coppers. There was only one serving officer who was there as an observer on my course.

Take a look here . I wrote a review of the N. Wales course here.

Basically some class room time explaining the causes of most bike crashes and how to ride to avoid them, then some time on the road being observed by IAM / ROSPA / Police class 1 riders and given learning points to practice.

Very useful weekend 'health check' on your riding.

mine cost £60 I think, bt it varies from region to region.

Basically, Tho my work have subsidised it so it was a mere £20. Death by powerpoint in the morning, then 3 hrs or so of observed rides in mixed traffic situations.

Said he was amazed i'd only been riding 4 months, tho my overtaking points need more careful consideration. (seem to always pick junctions )

the theory is, after bikesafe you go on to do IAM RoSPA etc, like a taster session.

Please do go on to do IAM, but if both of you hadn't bothered with Bikesafe it would have paid for a whole year's tuition from IAM (for one of you )
