You should give it a go, it was the first thing I've ever done mechanically and it was fine. Any problems there is help on hand here!

I fitted the undertray to my Curvey myself. It took me about 5 hrs. I had some problems getting the old indicators off and ended up not bothering and fitted some motrax mini's instead.
Some of the bolts were rusted up and it was a bit tricky to get it all apart but once I had done that fitting the new one was relatively straight forward. Just take your time, insure that you read the instructions properly and make sure you've got all the tools you need before you start work. Mine was the Suzuki OEM ( TCP Products ) undertray and it fitted straight on. One tip I was given by Viney who talked me through it before I started was to remember to fit the pillion seat locking mechanism back on before you put the pillion seat on. It was quite satisfying looking at the finished result and thinking "I did that myself" Liz fitted a Hamicad to her K5 I think it took her about an hour and a half and she didnt have any problems doing it herself. Of course if you dont feel confident or you feels it beyond you, then take it to the dealer and get them to do it for you. HTH

What have you got - if it's a Hamicad it's quite easy, as long as you remember to replace all the bolts that you removed when removing it
![]() I have a *friend* who will be removing the side panels of his bike again at the weekend as he forgot to replace the 2 bolts that hold the undertray on ![]() |

I have a Hamicad and it also took me about 1 1/2 hours.
They supply instructions with it which are easy to follow, plus you have the satisfaction of saying that you fitted it yourself. |
