Default "Well, Ginger's got 'em on 'is FireBlade..."

My formerly evil-handling Hornet has been totally transformed by a pair of new tyres and now goes round corners like it should........ buttock-clenching has given way to relaxed and enjoyable riding

MOT day today.......

Mechanic: "Do you have the keys?"
Me: "Whoops, sorry - forgot to give them to you"
Mechanic: "Like you forgot the rubber on the rear tyre?!"

Both tyres were illegal

So "goodbye" front BT56 after 11790miles and "goodbye" rear BT014 after about 5700miles and two puncture repairs............ and "hello" to a pair of Conti Road Attacks.

Initial impessions are very favourable. Aside from the the bike going round corners in a nice, safe, neutral way and my not having to fight the bars to keep upright, the ride is a lot smoother.

I love my bike again and I've got my confidence back - lost it on the Porlocks ride in March when I tried to keep up with Fizz and Beenz......it wasn't me, it was the bike. Honest

Nice one Jabba, it really is incredible what the difference a nw set of boots makes. If you've spent a long time with the old ones it's easy to forget how good the bike can be. My tyres don't last that long though, 2.5K to a rear these days even taking it really easy like I did on the Porlock run.

This is my first new front boot and I think it's this that has made the difference.

Nice of you to wait for Fizz, I thought.

I had Conti Road Attacks on the work Bandit. Good fun in the dry and pretty good in the wet. I ride like a total wimp in the wet!! They seemed to last pretty well even with my evil (according to Anna) riding style!

Interesting, I got the BT020's on my Hornet at the moment and they handle fine. Never had any issues with grip in the dry or wet, she corners pretty darn well and I like to lean!
