Default Shrinking Leather.

Does anyone know if you can safely shrink (slightly) a Leather jacket?
If so, how do you go about it?
Cheers.

Wasn't that for their denim jeans though?

To be honest, if you soak leather through it will expand, so if you're wearing it at the time it will feel tighter... but the expansion is because water gets retained inbetween the fibres of the leather itself, causing their structural bond to be weaker. Any movement will cause the leather to stretch far more easily and it'll retain the new size/shape when dry.
So the opposite effect to what you actually want.

To be honest, with finished and treated leather I don't think there is anyway to reliably shrink it without simply altering the pattern/stitching.
Though that might not be as awkward as it sounds - if you can find a place that does leather alterations then simply adjusting the location of the front zip could easily take a little off the waist/chest measurements.

Jeez - what is it with all the leather questions recently - you lot trying to show me up as some kind of freaky geeky or what?
