Default It pays to shop about (insurance renewal)

F/C insurance renewal £310 , 15mins on the net using same statement of facts and then back to Bennets £100 less------why?

Not an SV, Triumph Sprint ST 955i

This was not the cheapest,E-bike was only £161 but I plumped for Norwich Union as it included some other extra benefits

The broker pays the insurance company the broker gets the rest. The more they charge the more they make. (I'm assuming here). So when they come down in their quote then they are cutting down on their profit. NO

Possibly, but I wish I could make 33% + profit as I don't suppose for one minute they have done it for nothing

Watch your back with Bennets. You can wring them up an hour later using the same statement of facts and get a completely different quote. They have not got a clue and their computer pricing system can give you different quotes based and the same details.

When you get your policy document through check it for stuff you didn't order. I got a £750 excess on mine which Zenith insurance didn't know about.

I'm going through hell with Bennetts at the moment and have raised a formal complaint to the FSA for them misselling me my policy. They never even added the legal protection and roadside pickup I originally ordered.

Pay a bit extra and get a broker that knows what they are doing.

Yeah Bennetts quotes can vary wildly!

Got a quote of £1500 online for the 6R and rang them 5 minutes later to be told £700!

Got an online quote for the 10R at around £5000 and got another online quote a couple of months later for £1080!

Also on their system when you pick your bike they had my current bike listed twice. Both were listed absolutely 100% identically yet one brought back a quote of £1400 and the other £1080.
