100 Highline, my mates got the 130 and it does seem snatchy whilst town driving. i dont know for sure but i think its all the same engine but mapped different? theres a chip on ebay for £50 that give 17bhp more and better mpg if theres any problems.

you can get that engine (assuming its the 1.9tdi) chipped to 220bhp! it'll make 170hp without any other modification to the engine too

loving my diesel, have been for about a year now, it's all about the torque... it can do 60mpg if i treat it gently on the motorway - and there's nothing funnier than watching the tailgating chavs disappear on motorway slip roads when you get about 40 and their 1.2's have run out of puff, when you've been in 4th since the roundabout

wouldn't buy another petrol car now, unless it was solely based on performance...

I have had diesels by choice for a number of years and some of the latest 'hot' ones blow the petrol equivalent into the weeds. My mate just got an Octavia vRS diesel. A quick car and faster than the petrol equivalent in the real world, was pretty impressed out on some of my fave biking roads.

BMW 330D or 330i? I am thinking of a 330d Touring for pace with some grace (will be a few years old mind!). VW Tuareg W10 (or is it W12?) disesel has enough torque to ripple the tarmac!

iv had 3 diesels now(pug 306 diesel sport, pug 306 estate td,and now ive got a vectra 2.0 turbo d)wouldnt buy another petrol car ,and most of them drive btr than their petrol equivalents(sp) ,.my vectra has around 90 bhp!! but its torque figure is about 260lb/ft it pulls like a train at lower revs ,its deceptivly quick (kinda like a v-twin,low revving but when you look at the speedo its faster than u think) ,im not paying £40 a week in fuel costs .i put a £10 in once a week and go back and forward to work with a few extra journeys as well(going out/to my mums e.t.c) about 120 miles a week and it only costs £10!!superb
