Hovis' memory isn't what it used to be so he posted twice.

Bet he doesn't even remember that TV crew filming him in his metro...

Nightmare more like, only enlightened for me by the caring attitude of nicholas parsons, ' what? some dead body on the track ? does he not realise how many people have paid to see me? ' says it all for me

Yeah, all a little bit scary; though I suspect when I hit 70 my opinion will have changed completely

When most of us hit 70, there won't be any petrol left.

I fully support the idea of testing older drivers. I also fully support the idea of re-testing everyone periodically. But older drivers seem to be particularly bad for 'losing control and accelerating accross car park / crossing / etc.'

There are many around here, making the lanes particularly dodgy. One old lady died recently from natural causes, when I heard my thoughts were not for her family, but more 'won't need to look out for the old bat in her Berlingo any more' - sad but that really is how bad she was on the road.
