Simple? No.
Try taking the switch apart & putting it back together. Doubt it's anything as simple as a blown bulb, as that increases flash rate. Other than that, you're looking at tracing the wire for a sore spot. |

Not sure of the flasher circuit for the SV, but it does sound like the switch...
Make sure it's not just blown lamps. Stranger things have happened! Make sure the connectors are on nice and tight at the switch, and there is no damaged to any wires in your cable loom down from the switch in to the main chasis of the bike. Trace the wires back from the indi's and make sure the wee plugs and sockets are OK. If your not sure seperate them, give them a wee spray with WD40 or any electrical contact cleaner, and push them back together. I wouldn't take the switch apart unless you know exactly what your doing, and have excellent dexterity. Switches have tiny little springs in them that like to go "ping". Do you have an alarm fitted? Is everything else on the bike working OK? Do you have regular lamps, or LED indicators? Any work done to the bike recently? Not just electrical work... Good luck! |
