Default intermitent cut out.

My curvy sv started to cut out today,
it only happens at idle.
the bike was warm an at a steady 1300 revs (this is where i like it)
the plugs are in 3 months.
oil and filter last week.

here is the bit that stumps me.
if you rev it a little it tries to cut out, the rev gauge dies but the engine keeps going.
sometimes only on one cylinder...
then it kicks back to life???

if left to idle it dies. it only happens every so often and there is no pattern to it..
the bike runs fine once moving.

Any ideas? i didnt get a chance to look at the problem closely yet.
Thanks, john.

Mine did that for a while then the choke stuck on. It might be the choke plungers on your carbs are seized and the bike is running at idle with the choke on and its running a bit rich and not fueling properly.
