Yesterday riding home from work, and riders nightmare the throttle sticks going through a corner. Scared the life out of me, made it out alive though. Got home took the swithgear off and had a look at the wires, no problem there...
Now the fun As you know, to get to the throttle cables you gotta take the airbox off, did that had a play and sorted the throttle just about. Thought ahhhh its gettin late should be ok now, lets put her back together. Oh dear the seals with clamps around them(that connect to carburetters) don't want to seal to the airbox so one slight movement and haypresto the airbox is out of place. Kept trying and trying to get at it and get it together no joy. Had a paddy and left it now. Waiting for a guy to come pick her up and fix it and possibly do a few other bits like plugs, oil, filters, clean the brake pads/calipers. So all in all a great mood i'm in due to that and because i've forgot my bloody lunch after trekking here. I love work. Stu |

Good luck with that then, my bike failed its mot on tuesday, have been quoted £360 to get it through plus a total of £ 500 + for all the bits it needed to pass the mot inluding the advisory stuff, the wifes offered to pay for it on her credit card, but it just seems a lot of debt for an old bike

Take to top off the airbox, you can then push down on the rubbers and check with eyes and fingers to see if they're sealed properly, a little WD40 helps everything slide smoothly into place...
