Default helmet sores

been riding the bike to work constantly for about 3 months now, and started to get sores on my face where the helmet makes contact. around the forehead, and beside the eyes. some of them turn to spots as well. tried cleaning my helmet, but alas, no luck. anyone else have this problem or have a suggestion on how to prevent this?? really starting to annoy me

If i shave and then go out on the bike soon after I get something similar under my chin. Sometimes the next day it's red and sore. Slackening off the strap a little doesn't make any difference either. It's something I've had occur since i started biking, so not a problem with lid fitment or cleanliness.

I do have stubble seemingly made of pure carbon fibre tho........

I get the chin/neck thing Haggis mentions, anything less than 5 o'clock shadow seems to wreak havoc on my athenian-god-like looks Never had any problems round forehead/eyes etc though. I'd be tempted to double check your lid is fitting correctly, it might be too loose and rubbing. You might have some reaction to the liner used, in the same way that some folks get with biological washing powder and the like?

What lid is it?

quite a cheap rst lid, think im going to have to fork out and get a decent new one. never had the problem with my old nolan helmet. the helmet isnt loose though, if anything mgiht be a tad too tight. prettty sure it is the friction betweent he liner and my head. or like you said could be the type of fabric. never been alergic to anything though. F*ing cheap helmets!!

Sorry...I'm a big kid, saw the title and thought the same thing lol.

My other half gets the same problem when he's wearing a hard hat, he uses antibacterial cleansing lotion twice a day to keep his face clean and keep nasty spot/sore causing bugs at bay!!
