Me, 17 stone in kit.
K4. Stock front end, rear Nitron sport shock. Front: 2 preload rings showing. Stock springs/oil soon to be replaced. Now the rear shock has been sorted the front end feels very poor in comparison. Rear: Still with standard amount of preload and ride height. Rebound/Compression firmed up 1 notch (from standard) and I'm very happy with it. |

Now I'm on number 6 at the back and 2 showing at the front, it's better but I'm definitely upgrading the springs and oil. |

This sort of thing is complete sphericals. SV suspension is so basic there is bugger all you can do but to set your sag by adjusting your preload. don't **** about counting clicks/turns against a guide. Get your tape measure out. decide what percentage of full travel you wish to have sit on the bike and get a mate to measure/adjust.
suggestions seems to be about 35mm of sag. And no I aint getting into the argument of what consitutes static sag my definition is correct.

Me - Weight a secret.
Front, no adjustment, bounce bounce looks good. Rear, more bounce but less boing. |

timwilky is entirely correct... Also, probably half of all the suggestions you'd get in this thread will be utter rubbish as so many people try to compensate for problems with spring rate or damping with preload, thinking that preload is for adjusting stiffness etc.
So, my suggestion? Sell on Ebay. Buy better parts for less. Profit ![]()
