So; time has finally caught up with my eyesight.
![]() After a visit to the optition on saturday I have been told that my vision is deteriorating to the point where it will soon be illegal for me to ride/drive without "corrective lenses" Now I need to get some specs that I can wear under a crash helmet. Priority is to find a pair that are as safe as possible in the event of an "off", whilst not being too much of a faff to put on /take off. Appearance is secondary since hey are not to conspicious under a helmet and I intend to have a second pair for use when driving. Any suggestions of designs that may be suitable would be greatfully received, as would advice on what to avoid! I suppose I shouldn't complain 52 is not a bad age to get to without needing glasses! Many thanks |

I where Quicksilver glasses with the straight arms so they slide into my lid with no probs! I got them from spec savers. Buy one get one free! So 1 pair are clear lenses and the other pair are polorised very dark sun glasses.

Yes, get ones with straight arms, they're much easier to get on and more comfortable.
I use contacts now like Billy and they're the freakin' shnizz. |

I found that I've got on better with my frameless glasses as the frame used to annoy me, each to there own though.
Oh and make sure you go for scratch resistant badboys as well! |

I've never had a problem with any sort of glasses- My HJC was a little tight but most higher quality lids have ear recesses for comfort anyway.
Contacts work well, though they can dry out if you have the vents open. One less thing to steam up as well, I was very glad to have mine in for the AR (don't often wear them though, just when it's cold or wet.
