Default My First Crash

In the car not on the bike thankfully.

Holiday in scotland, and I was driving down a single track road. Out comes a big 300kg deer right in front of me. I immediately steer to avoid the hefty mofo but clip it with my left wing. I then touch the grass which sent me spinning off down the road which i managed to stay on, but then as I straightened up out of the spin I touch the grass again and slid sideways into some armco which = Gameover

Luckily nobody hurt, the deer lay on the floor knocked out for a while then sat up for 20 minutes and then fooked off as if nothing had happened. Ironically i was in the middle of no where and who should come around the corner but a Deer butcher who was hoping the deer would not wake up as apparently a 300kg deer is worth about £1200 and laws in scotland say the person who killed road kill cant take the meat but a passer by can

So there is the story of my first crash in 7 years of driving, it was rather exciting and I would like to think it wasnt my fault, pics to follow.....

So all in all I had a naff weeks holiday and I now have a ringing left ear drum (burst?) from the Grand Prix at silverstone on sunday, it was the noise from the second formation lap that did it plus being in the grandstand made the noise twice as loud . Note: The £380 per person price tag on the tickers is not worth it even if you can spit on victoria beckham. ROFL

Looking forward to picture! Byt the description of the spins, were you going fairly fast? Glad you are not hurt. Was the car driveable after?

I was not going all that fast, 40mph at most and the airbags didnt go off so I must have been under 20mph when i hit the armco. It was a national speed limit road, although you wouldnt do it. 40mph was safe without a doubt, unless of course you knew a deer was about to jump out of the wood onto your car.

The car is drivable, but not at night as the headlights are wonky.

Oh deer!!

Maybe it was a relative of the one dizzyblonde took out and wanted revenge?

Glad all was well (other than the cage - but that's no loss surely ).
