As it says, frikkin new Bridgestone 021 done approx 800 miles!
nail is in tyre approx 1 inch to the left of the centre........ was fitted up at strathearn but ive taken the back wheel off so any recommendations for repairers around Livingston / dunfermline area would be appreciated for a lunchtime/afterwork repair to get the bike back on the road.

If you're in the aa / rac etc they'll come to you and repair it, failing that some tyre places kwikfit etc do bike tyres and will also come to you if transports a problem.
Never had a flat (touch wood) but discussed this scenario with aa repairman and they are told to recommend that a repair will last up to 500 miles (get you home if your on holiday) but he knows of many cases where the tyres have been used to their natural expiry, so down to personal choice. This probably doesn't help much, sorry. |

I've always used Scott Murray but don't know if they do tyre repairs.
Personally I would be tempted to get rid - but i am a wimp when it comes to things like this. If I am questioning it I go with the safe option. ![]()

In terms of the tyre being goosed or not, why not give Bridgestone a call? Couldn't hurt...

Personally I'd bin the tyre, but it depends on how you ride, if you never do more than 80mph and don't ever stress the tyre hard in cornering, braking, etc then a repair may be fine. As already said, it's personal choice.

Hey Muzikill,
You can get it repaired no problem. IIRC, the guidance is anymore than 50mm of centre for a 160 section and it's a scrapper. When mine got a screw in it, Ducati in Glasgow plugged it for £10+ VAT There was no "revison" to the speed rating either. Should be easy since you have the wheel off too. Sorry can't recommend somewhere in Dunfermline. Cheers |

In short "I dont know"
I dont believe repairing it would be a problem certainly a cheaper option I dont know if I could trust it afterwards If I could repair it then forget I repaired it that would be my choice |

Cheers for the advice! it's a goner ............ replaced! had it plugged but the confidence in the tyre was already deflated to say the least -
new rubber again though yay! - did a run up to tummel across to pitlochry and back across to the sma' glen to run it in.
