Default MP3 trimming program

Right i have a few songs that have and unwanted begining to it, and i also have songs that i want as ringtones but just want the chorus as it not the whole song, does anyone know of any trimming software.

When I need to do this, I always get a CD quality version of the original, rip the .wav of it, edit the .wav (I like Steinberg Wavelab, personally) then encode the mp3 from the edited .wav. This will make it more high quality, too.

i used to use nero wave editor its good you can cut the bit you want out of the song, increase the volume for a ultra loud ringtone and change pitch ETC

Have a look for a program called 'Cool MP3 splitter', that should cover your needs, and its free.

try audiocity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Its free, i I use it for making ringtones so I know it will do what you want

I use http://www.goldwave.com - you can zoom in on the track to get it starting/ending just before/after an exact beat! (And it's free!)

That Audacity is good, I used to use it a ong time ago. I even bought a licence for it (Shock horror)

But if you want it for ringtones.. Just get a phone that has an editor... (I've just got one.. can you tell ha haaa, it's cool)
