Default Potential fine over t-shirt slogan :)

Controversial topic of the day:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/c...re/6943734.stm

Man warned of £80 fine if he continues to wear t-shirt with "Don't **** me off, I'm running out of places to hide the bodies" slogan

Thing is, I'm not sure whether this is "political correctness gone mad, instigated by liberal left wing weenies", or "right wing draconian authoritarianism gone mad". Either way, I thought it was funny

That's Peterborough for you.

If you're not having a fight on a Friday night down Broadway- they fine you.

You also get fined for not using your full 'retail park hours' quota.

Many moons ago I was told to take my t-shirt off followed by the rest of my clothes on a beach in Ibiza... and she wasn't even a copper.... Loverly Lass, amazing tongue as I remember....

Street warden ? is that one of the community support people then ?

sounds like someone who's just been taught in a class room the "fine letter of the Law", but lacks any real world experiance, to me.

Cheers Mark.

My mate Dan's a huge UK Subs fan, and he got the same line when he was in Brighton- "Someone's complained about the language on your shirt, you'll have to take it off". So he did, displaying the massive "PUNK AS F**K" tattoo that runs across his shoulders "Wot? You want me to take me skin orf as well? Hur hur hur"

Personally, speaking as a parent, I think there is a right time and place for clothing with swear words and such. In the middle of the day walking down the high street is not one of them.
