Thumbs up Ride From Nottinghamshire to Skegness

Hi all,

Greame and I are planning to have a ride out to Skegness way (from somewhere near Mansfield (J27)) on either the 11, 12, 19 August. Not sure which day yet. Depends on availability (and maybe weather forecast nearer the time).

I'll be straight with you, I'm not the fastest of riders around, only passed a few months ago, so the pace won't be too quick I don't think.

Just posting here incase anyone else wanted to tag along.

Cheers,
David

Should be a good day if the weather is good.

I can no longer make this anyway now. It was one of the few dates available for me to get a holiday with my girlfriend, so I'm afraid that took priority. My appologies.

If anyone does come down to Skeg, there's some traffic lights at Burgh-le-Marsh on the A158. Causes traffic to back up right through the village, probably about a mile or so on busy days. You can filter past most of it fairly easily but things get a bit narrow through the main part of the village, especially if there's a few trucks around. Or you can take the secret back roads to skeg that all the locals are using.
