Hello mate, let me give you my take on the Poly26. Im onto my second one.

The pan is fitted at 3 points, the front and either side. There is a lip at the front. the top of which is fitted to the screw at the base of the oil cooler. The sides are fitted at the point at where the exhaust bolt attaches to the frame on the offside and just behind the stand on the nearside. You will have to drill these and may need longer bolts to replace those taken out of the frame. Large washers also help as they spread the load across the fragile pan.

One word of advice - I would strongly suggest that you make some attempt to strengthen the front of the pan itself where it joins to the oil cooler. Thicken up the fibreglass at the bend so that its got a stronger join. The first one i had broke off at the front acting as a gravel shovel for a couple of miles until i noticed it had fallen off.

Thanks for the replys guy. I did think that the front looked fragile so I will set about beefing that up.

I guessed that there were only 3 joining points but I thought that seemed a bit fragile, oh well.

I will hopfully have a go on sunday.

Ill be back with updates!

The 3 fixing points, once nicely secured and that front strengthened are actually enough as the pan is only light. It obviously wont stand up to a beating or going down but more than enough to handle any wind blast. The best advice i can give is to mount them on rubber washers (fairing type) as that'll soak up the vibes from the engine.

Got my Poly 26 on a few weeks ago. Before I had it painted I drilled the holes. If you look at the back there should be marking were to drill.
